James Courtenay

Chief Executive

James Courtenay has 35 years experience working in Finance. Having spent most of his career in Leveraged Finance in London and Hong Kong, he was hired by Standard Chartered in 2009 as Global Head of Project & Export Finance. He moved to Singapore in 2012 as their Global Head of Advisory & Infrastructure Finance, leading all infrastructure-related transactions for the bank. He went on to manage all larger Corporate client relationships for the bank.

He retired in 2017 to set up Heracles Capital Advisors, with the ambition to build one of the premier advisory and investment firms in the important sectors of Infrastructure and Private Credit. He now manages his advisory mandates privately between France and the United Kingdom
